This Act requires corporations to make reasonable efforts to find and notify those to whom they owe property.
For an insurance company, property can be money owed to someone because of a claim, premium refund, other circumstances related to an insurance policy, or just doing business. If the person cannot be located, the money is set aside and the individual's last name, and the date the money became "unclaimed" is published online.
